Looking for a special place for your child's birthday party?

The Ella Sharp Museum of Art & History offers creative, safe, fun parties for kids 4 through 12 years old in the Museum's art studios-a great place for mess!

What will we do at the party?

We'll provide free admission to our galleries and a teacher who will provide a 30-minute "make and take" activity* for the children. (You'll select the activity when you book your party.) Did we mention that we also take care of clean up? You'll supply the theme of the party, decorations, any refreshments** you'd like to have and any other activities you'd like to do at your party.

Can we do a theme party?

Sounds great! "Happy Birthday!" has been sung to little pirates, Barbie fans, at tea parties, while decorating cookies, and at an ice-cream social… Feel free to let your imagination soar! (You may decorate the studio as elaborately as you wish.)

What do I need to provide?

Any refreshments** (including plates, cups, etc.), any activities you wish (clown, magician, party games, etc.) in addition to the "make & take," and any decorations you wish to use.

How much will it cost?

The cost is $125 for Museum members, and $150 for non-members for a two-hour party that includes: the teacher/host who greets the children and leads them in the "make & take" activity, all of the materials for the activity, room setup and cleanup, tables and chairs, ice for your party, and Ella Sharp Museum of Art & History admission on that day for yourself and your guests. The entire fee is required at the time of booking to reserve a date. Extra time is available at $50.00 per hour.

For more information or to plan your party, please call (517) 787-2320 ext. 227. Please allow at least a two-week notice. A maximum of 15 kids is recommended, with at least two adults per group. Parties will be booked subject to availability of art studios.

*Please make sure kids dress accordingly.
**The Museum will provide pizza and pop for an additional $5 per person.
